WHO WE ARE

ABOUT OUR FIRM

SMALL TEAM ATTENTION. BIG FIRM RESULTS.

RELATIONSHIPS ARE OUR BUSINESS

The personal relationship between principals, Frank Eppes and Lee Plumblee led to the establishment of the firm back in 1997 and represents the core of the firm’s values today. In an age of formal mission statements, the goal of Eppes & Plumblee is simply to treat its members, employees, and clients with the same loyalty and support the two principals have shown each other since first meeting in 1967…in the 1st grade.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE IS OUR PRACTICE.

Eppes & Plumblee represents clients ranging from local individuals and businesses to multi-national corporations in all manner of civil and criminal litigation. The two principals, Frank Eppes and Lee Plumblee continue to receive referrals from both local and nationwide firms, as well as existing clients on a regular basis, maintaining excellent personal relationships with their former coworkers.

OUR HISTORY

1967

Frank Eppes and Lee Plumblee meet in the first grade and become friends circa 1967

1987

After graduating from the University of South Carolina School of law as first honor graduate, Mr. Eppes clerked for the Honorable Robert F. Chapman of the Fourth United States Circuit Court of Appeals before becoming associated with the New York firm of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton where he practiced from 1987 until 1996.

1991

Mr. Plumblee practiced for ten years with the Greenville firm of Love, Thornton, Arnold & Thomason, P.A., where he was a partner between 1991 and 1997.

1997

The return of Mr. Eppes to Greenville in 1997 provided the opportunity for these friends to practice together, a notion first conceived when the two were in law school. Mr. Eppes turned down offers from larger and more established Greenville firms, and Mr. Plumblee resigned from his former firm in order to open their practice together with two folding chairs, two folding tables, three computers, and a secretary, who was the only person receiving a paycheck.

Present
